Cow of the Year

The Ayrshire Cow of the Year Competition is open to Ayrshire Cattle registered in the full Herd Book section, Appendix A & B and section R1. (Min 75%)

Scoring system is based on:

• Classification (score x 100 points)
• Lactation Yield (milk) (litres x 1 point)
• Lactation Yield (protein) (kg x 20 points)
• Lactation Yield (fat) (kg x 10 points)
• Royal Show Championships (x 500 points)
• Royal Show Reserve Championships (x 250 points)
• IDW Championships (x 1000 points)
• IDW Reserve Championships (x 750 points)

NOTE: Lactation must be most recent, and 305 days completed between
1st July year prior to competition & 30th June year of competition
