Superior Cow Award

Superior Cow Award

The Ayrshire Superior Cow Award is open to Ayrshire Cattle registered in the full Herd Book section, Appendix A & B and section R1. (Min 75%).

To qualify for this award a cow must meet all the following criteria:

  • The cow must be registered in the herd book or appendix registers for Australian Ayrshires.
  • The cow must have been classified VG 85 or higher in her lifetime.
  • The cow must be 8 or more years of age at the time of assessment for this award.
  • The cow must have a total lifetime production of 50 000 litres of milk and 3600 kilograms of butterfat plus protein.
  • The cow must still classify VG or better for her mammary system after reaching 8 years of age.
