Ayrshire enthusiasts from around Australia were at Camperdown for the 34th annual fanfare sale.
Top lot at $2900 was paid by return buyers S & K Beard of Jancourt East for Boldview Pedro Spammy a close to calving heifer who had won her class at the Celebration Show the day prior. She sold a/c Boldview Farms of Jervois, SA.
Next top price of $2800 was paid twice for Geelunga Dreamer Thea (R1) a stylish Nexus Dreamer from G & T Edmonds of Meadows, SA to the Gardner Family of Yarroweyah. Also at this price was the correct yearling Revolution Farms Gib Syndy selling to Sam Hentschke of Glencoe, SA.
Other noted sales included Cher-Bar Poker Glare who had won the 3-4 year old class the day prior, she sold a/c C Liebich of Jervois, SA to D & T Wallis of Noorat at $2400. L & J Gass of Princetown also paid $2400 for Invergowrie Berthas Fiona a/c F & B Sharpe of Camden, NSW.
Semen was in strong demand including Bo Pepperoni at $300 per straw, Teddy Bear at $250 and Merlin at $200.
Australian Ayrshires also hosted a very successful show of high quality Ayrshires the day prior with a large crowd of spectators.
