SUMMARY:180th Anniversary of the arrival of the 'David Clark' and Ayrshire Cattle to Australia
DESCRIPTION:The “David Clark” arrived on 27 October 1839\, bringing the first assisted immigrants direct to the Port Phillip District. All were Scots and several became important breeders of Ayrshire cattle: for instance\, the McNabs of Oakbank. \nTo mark the 180th anniversary of this significant arrival\, a reunion of descendants is planned for Sunday 27 October 2019 at “Gulf Station” (Yarra Glen\, Vic) which was the farm of William Bell (another “David Clark” passenger and another breeder of Ayrshires).
